Job Description

Keating Dental Lab is looking for a Receptionist position to assist customers and employees alike. This position works closely with office staff to notify them of incoming calls, prepare outgoing mail and make copies or fax documents. The duties also include managing various office tasks while answering calls, inquiries, questions from customers, and helping visitors. The Receptionist person is also responsible for taking inventory of office supplies and placing orders accordingly.

Skills/Qualifications

Essential skills for the receptionist to perform well in their role include:

  • Verbal and written communication skills to interact clearly with customers, vendors and other employees
  • Organization skills to keep accurate records and find important information quickly
  • Time management skills to prioritize and complete a side variety of tasks throughout the day
  • Patience and listening skills to respond appropriate and interact positively with upset customers
  • Interpersonal skills to create a pleasant experience for all customers, such as being personable and attentive

Education & Requirements

Essential education and training for the receptionist to perform well in their role include:

  • A high school diploma or a GED. On the job experience may substitute instead.
  • At least one year of experience as a Receptionist or similar role.
  • 1-2 years of Dental Lab experience is preferred.
  • A good personality and always be willing to help guide customers with what they need done.

Job Description

Keating Dental Lab offers comprehensive dental laboratory services, catering to dentists nationwide. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our IT team as an IT Support Specialist. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about technology, enjoys problem-solving, and is committed to providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

Provide Technical Support

  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues for end-users.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and peripherals.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure timely resolution of technical issues.

User Assistance

  • Respond to user inquiries and provide technical assistance via phone, email, or in person.
  • Train end-users on the use of hardware and software applications.
  • Assist with the set-up and onboarding of new employees.

Troubleshooting

  • Investigate and troubleshoot network and connectivity issues.
  • Identify and resolve issues related to security, data protection, and system performance.
  • Document and maintain records of support activities and solutions.
  • Perform software installations, updates, and patches.

Software and System Updates

  • Perform software installation, updates, and patches.
  • Coordinate with vendors for system upgrades and enhancements.

Hardware Maintenance

  • Conduct routine maintenance on hardware components.
  • Coordinate repairs and replacements of faulty hardware.

Additional Skills (optional)

  • Familiarity with Hubspot CRM and Marketing is a plus.
  • Any additional skills or certifications that enhance IT support capabilities are welcome.
  • Possess knowledge and experience in writing queries for databases.
  • Ability to create and execute SQL queries for data retrieval and analysis.

Requirements

Proven experience in a similar IT support role is preferred

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Familiarity with operating systems, including Windows and MacOS.
  • Knowledge of networking principles and protocols.
  • Any additional skills enhancing IT support capabilities.

Communication Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users.

Customer Skills

  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to handle challenging situations with patience and professionalism.

Certifications (Optional)

  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), or similar would be plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer workstation. Mobility to move within an office environment to provide support to end-users.
  • Capability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasional bending, kneeling, and climbing.
