Metal substructures are designed with strength in mind in addition to an even layer of porcelain to avoid fracture. Long-span bridges can mean deep feathered margins, partial adaption, and parallelism; Porcelain-Fused-to-Metal remains the go-to product for success in avoiding these concerns. Expertly crafted using Noritake Ex-3 porcelain, our Porcelain-Fused-to-Metal enables the ability to restore crowns and bridges anywhere in the mouth without sacrificing strength or vitality.

Advantages

Porcelain-Fused-to-Metal is good for long-span bridges, especially in the posterior, when there’s minimal occlusal clearance or minimal or reduced inner arch distance. Lots of times the connectors, because we have this collapsed vertical and the patient isn’t going to do a full mouth rehab, so we need to deal with that restoratively. In order to get connectors that are thickness enough, we need to go with metal.
